Thanks.  As I said, date and file size are displayed on my filenames because 
I've set it that way from the details submenu.  But it's nice to know of 
these features, especially to make speak file specifics that I don't 
ordinarily need to have showing beside the filename.  Thanks.

Just to add a bit to my last post, first go to view, and check details.
also, in some instances control insert 2 will give you file size, at other
times you get file type, if I'm not mistaken. Control insert 1 through 0
will report current column headers like file type, date modified, and file
size.

If you use jfw 6.0 and up, pressing control insert 4 on numbers row will
give you file size. Focus on the file and press hotkey to get results.

The most reliable way of finding file size that I know of is the way that I
described. Yes, it does require you to use the Jaws cursor. Sorry about
that. But really it's rare that I feel the need to investigate the
information to that extreme. Things were sure different back in the DOS
days, but enough said about that.
