If you are going to disable services, you should do it from administrative 
tools in the control panel.

You could also go into msconfig , and go to services, check the hide
Microsoft services, and go through and disable what you know you could
disable. I don't know if this will solve your problem but it sounds like
your having a cpu utilization issue or something.
