Depends on the machine and what programs are installed.

I have antivirus, jaws, spyware doctor, volume, aim

If you want to turn something of in the tray here is what you do.

First on the start menu go to control panel.

then open task bar and start menu.
In the task bar drop down find notification area customize .

go through the list if there is something you would like to hide right arrow
on the highlighted item and then up and down arrow until you hear what you
would like to happen.

Then left arrow to continue through the list.

When finished tab a couple of times until you find the ok button and select
it.

Then tab till you find apply and select it then select ok.
