Webvisum is a Firefox add-on whose primary benefit is to decode image captias. How it achieves this feat of legerdemain is a proprietary secret, but suffice it to say, it works well most of the time. Once Webvisum is installed, you simply hit Alt-control-6 when you encounter an image cattia using Firefox. After a few seconds, Webvisum interprets the captia and places the result in the clipboard so that it can be pasted into the appropriate edit field. Registering for Webvisum requires an invitation code from an current member, so if you're interested, contact me off-list and I'll be happy to send you an invitation.

I believe I understand that web vism is supposed to defeat a visual CAPTCHA in some way. I believe you must use Firefox as your browser in order to take 
advantage of its capability, though I don't know how it achieves this. I
don't know if it's an application or a Firefox add-on, or how to obtain and 
install it.

I don't know how you use it, once installed. replying off list would be
fine, if this subject has been too discussed already on the list, even
though I missed it. Thank you.
