Did you download it directly or did windows update install it?The reason I ask is that it may be your soundcard driver or another driver is one of the ones iwth issues which microsoft are busy resolving. If it is one of the effected ones, Windows update will first download the new drivers when they become available over the next few weeks before it makes SP1 available to you.But that might not be the problem you've got. However I don't know anyone else who has lost speech during or after installation.
