Francis, If you turn off audtomatic updates, what's the best way to keep up to date about which updates would be a very good idea for you to download and install as they appear? Not all are bothersome, as this one was. Most of the auto updates are restricted to things that enhance security, not things to tweak your system in other ways. Those, or so the documentation explains, are left on the update Web site for you to go look at if you wish to avail yourself of them. So how do you know when an important security patch has been released? How do you find it on that site?
