video cards and jaws

can anyone please tell me why the video cards like nvidia would go down to 4
bit graphics when installing the updated drivers and jaws will not do the video
intercept mannager thing either what is going on
what i mean is this i installed the video driver that i found the update for
and jaws brings everything down to 4 bit graphics and again is the video cards
do they have to be d c m compliant or not or is it just jaws and window eyes
that have to be d c m compliant?
