verbosity level not staying put

Hi,
The user verbosity level is set to intermediate level in both the default
jaws configuration manager and the one for Eudora. I haven't manually
changed it in my eudora, but it keeps changing from intermediate to
advanced. This would be ok, except that I like the number of messages in my
in box to be spoken and the advanced level doesn't do that. Any suggestions?
