I search via the scrape torrent site and have great results with that since it checks a bunch of other sites. I quit using utorrent though in favor of ABC a couple years ago because utorrent seemed to slow the computer down after a while and ABC seems to have a much bigger success rate with the downloads, faster too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chip Orange" <Corange@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

UTorrent itself has a search box where you can type in keywords and it will search one particular torrent-serving web site for you, and throw you to a web page from that web site. That web site will link you to a second if your search doesn't turn up what you were looking for. You are free however to go searching for torrent web site which you can join and search yourself (I joined demonoid.com, but it, like many, has a membership limit). Google will also help you search for torrents by adding the term "filetype:torrent" (without the quotes) to your search. Whether a particular site has it's torrents categorized or not depends upon that site. Most do, so you could specify audio books or movies or whatever. There are many usenet news groups dedicated to bittorrents, so you might go out there with outlook express or whatever and start reading in order to pickup tips on which are the best torrent tracking sites. hth, Chip ------------------------------ Chip Orange Database Administrator Florida Public Service Commission Chip.Orange@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (850) 413-6314 (Any opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Florida Public Service Commission.) ________________________________ From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Liz Wade Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2008 12:04 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: using utorrent Hi List: Someone I believe on this list answered a question about music sharing programmes and suggested utorrent.
