What is the scrape torrent site?

Also, the bittorrent news groups I mentioned would be a good place to ask
about UTorrent verses ABC. My impression, although it's only an impression,
is that UTorrent is much preferred, and one reason is that ABC is no longer
being maintained, while UTorrent has a couple of updates a year, which are
automatically applied via it's automatic update feature.

One reason for it "slowing down the computer" is that, according to those
who've educated me on this, it pulls down data at a much higher rate than
ABC. At least, it has the potential to do so. Here's the tip I read when
someone else had the same complaint: there are settings for utorrent that
allow you to control the maximum amount of bandwidth it's to use for
downloading, and for seeding (or uploading to others). You should use these
settings to decrease how much utorrent is doing in the background, until you
reach a level that's tollerable to you.

These settings even have a scheduling feature so that you can set them down
low during the day, and back up to high at night after you've gone to bed.

Or, if you prefer, you can use the systray icon for utorrent and right-click
it for it's context menus, there are choices for pausing torrents if you
need to do something intensive for awhile, and for resuming torrents when
you're done.

hth,

Chip
