I had a suggestion from this list that I completely uninstall jfw10 and get it again. I have a downloaded copy from the web site of J10.0.512.exe, which is the installer complete package. I completely un installed, made sure to clean up anything left over except the file which I believe to be the registration on this computer stored in the C:\Program Files\Freedom Scientific\Activator folder called JAWS.cps . I did, retried to update, wanting to get at least the study files, no luck, still insists there is a problem with my internet connection. I have to call tech support, and see what they can come up with. There is no fire wall blocking the updator file or any jfw file, so . . . this one is for tech support. I was hoping someone out there in jaws land might have had a similar problem but I guess not. I'll let you all know what the problem was if they figure it out, especially, you'll all probably hear me exclaim from where ever you are, no matter how far, or at least, that is how the song goes. :)
