I answered Danial last night, I made a mistake when answering him.  I did 
insert F and everything sounded correct:
left alligned, paragraph indented 1 inch and the font information.  You could 
call it a slip of the fingers or something like that.  Judith

  Judith, I'm not sure if you understood what Daniel said.  Insert F will tell 
you, at the cursor position, the alignment state of the paragraphs in your 
document.  That is, if you are at the start of a paragraph and press Insert F, 
JAWS will say, amoun other things, that your paragraph is left aligned.  That's 
it.  You interpret that to mean you did the alignment correctly.
