Tristan,
Well, I did it all for you, for no gratitude. I would think you might be a
little more sympathetic. That's the last time I'll take any of my own time
to help you. This has been a very unpleasant experience, I'll tell you.

Interesting indeed. Can't say, as I didn't see the message, but it sounds
a lot like he's just plain missing your reply. Depending on the
screenreader and client combination, he may have been dropped just
underneeth your reply. Or, for all I know, you may not have put your
reply where he expected it. Better just to ask him.

try again, using plain text." I found that kind of baffeling. because
they could read my original message, but not my reply. oh well, I'll try
again.

JFW can read HTML emails just fine, yes, and so can most if not all
other screenreaders. However, there are still email clients out there
that don't do well with HTML emails, so rather than take the chance that
content on the list will be missed or misinterpreted by one of ose email
clients, plain text emails are required. You don't lose any noticeable
benefit over HTML emails, since most clients now do things like
converting URL's into hyperlinks anyway. Also, it's a lot easier for
spammers to hide certain things in HTML messages that people can
unknowingly click on. So, this is as much for security reasons as it is
an ease of viewing perspective.

okay, this is either going to seem stupid, or just plain weird, I'm
assuming the former.

I just found out on another group that I am on that there is a person
who is blind/visually impaired. when I wrote a message to the group
(replying to that particular message) I got a response back asking me
if I could resubmit that message in plain text, because all that person
could see was their message and the original message posted. I did both
of these messages from the gmail website. why is it that this person
needs messages in plain text? can't all screen readers read html? (I
saw that we had to have things set to plain text on the JAWS list
information e-mail). why is this, if JAWS seems to read all text in
html just fine? or at least, it does for me.

now, an Outlook question. whenenever I want to find a message (by doing
f3) I get the list of messages that I want, as per usual. my question
is, do I have to close the program and then re-open it just to get back
to all messages from everyone not just this person?

and this final question isn't so odd. I had made a post awhile back
about Adobe Acrobat and JAWS and its acessibility but didn't get any
response. how accessible is Adobe Acrobat and JAWS? I've seen the help
file which talks about Acrobat/Acrobat Reader, but there is no
distiction between the two or so it seems in the help file.

Thanks for any help.

P.S. as I suspected, my show hidden files was enabled, and I still
don't have an application data folder. weird, but I've delbt with it
for this long, I guess it shouldn't be a problem to deal with it some
more.
