So far as I know, a screen reader like Jaws has no problem at all reading
HTML or Rich Text in an email message body, any more than it has trouble
reading, say, a Web page. Which is, of course, HTML.

What I *have* seen happen, and this may very well not be the answer to your
problem, but it's another screen reader problem, sometimes due to a color
setting someone has managed to make (how, I'm not sure) for their email text
and background, the whole message comes out something that even a low vision
person, not to mention jaws, can't make any sense of. Like blue text
against a black background. I forgot how this can happen, but it can. I
also forgot the solution, though I remember getting something like that,
looking to me like a solid black email message, and getting the sender to
change something and resend.

But the reason I don't think this could be your problem is because some text
is visible , while other text isn't, from one message to the other within
the same email. Big help I am, huh? What happened to Francis Daniels, I'm
wondering. He'd know this.

Anyway, unless there's some sort of color stuff associated with your use of
HTML, I can't imagine what that would have to do with it. I'm aware that
blind list owners and mods don't like HTML, but it's mostly out of
reasonable security concerns as someone said, not because screen readers
can't make sense of it. That isn't true.

To put a twist on the usual closing, sorry if this doesn't help enough.

anields, Rarancisf help I am.probdeahat , any more than it

but they should still be able to read just text, no links... this person was
sayiny: "Gee, I can't tell if you've written anything here or not, because
my screan reader just reads what I wrote you, and your origenal message. Can
you please
try again, using plain text." I found that kind of baffeling. because they
could read my original message, but not my reply. oh well, I'll try again.
