I used jaws 5 when I first switched to XP and I did change the start menu to classic mainly for my own preference then anything else and I don't think I touched anything else other then to try it and see what happens and jaws never had any issues with any settings I changed. I set it up more for me than anything and if it doesn't work I figure out when it started not working right and change it but I can only think of 1 instance where that's happened and no matter what I do it does that but so long as it only lasts about a minute I can wait it out and it's only on 1 computer. ----- Original Message ----- From: "jim grimsby" <jimgrims@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 29, 2005 2:50 PM Subject: RE: two Jaws questions before buying a computer -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chip Orange Sent: Tuesday, March 29, 2005 11:45 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: two Jaws questions before buying a computer=20 > Do not bother jaws works fine with xp right out of the box no=3D20 = need=20 > to worry about all that configuring changing things that=3D20 fs seems = > to think you need to do. I have just set up xp with=3D20 jaws many = many > times with out doing any of that other stuff=3D20 and it worked fine. These tests have been done by me using jaws 4.02 to jaws 5.10=20 With no changes jaws will read and track everything just fine. I guess I should amend it and say if you find no problems might as well leave them alone if you start seeing problems then go to the trouble of changing things.=20 -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
