1. When did this start?
2. in control pannel look at "speech" options under voice tab also check
"sounds and audio devices" volume page tabbing through comparing device and
speaker settings.
3. If your friend uses "sigmatel audio, check those settings.

Subject: trouble hearing jaws
I have a friend running either jaws 7 and 9. for no apparent reason she can
only hear jaws through headphones. Playing a CD or music from her hard
drive
works fine through the speakers. She has re installed jaws and still no
luck. We have checked everything we can think of. Any suggestions would be
welcome.
