you'll have to check the system tray. I also changed the time on mine to a 
time when I'm almost always here and the computer's always on so it will 
update for me. I don't usually leave my computer on over night either, some 
times but I find even with XP, after a few days it will slow down though 
nowhere near like 98 did after about 1 day.
