Dean, Thanks for the additional ways to resume a Find. One related thing I'd appreciate knowing more about is this: Like a lot of people, I've only found out the hard way that once you've done a Find in Word, control page down seems to permanently lose its navigational function, and that if you really want to use it again, desperately, you have to exit and relaunch Word. Now, this has always seemed extreme to me. Isn't there some way to cancel the Find routine after you've found what you wanted to, so that Control PageDown reverts to its normal function? thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dean Martineau" <dean@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, March 08, 2006 5:39 AM Subject: Re: the "Find" function in MS Word the Word Repeat Find command is assigned to both Alt-Ctrl-Y and Shift-f4. Of course, you can assign it to any keystroke you want to using the customize keyboard feature in Word. In addition, Once you've initiated a find, Ctrl-pgdn changes function, and if you hit that key, it also acts as a repeat find command. Hence, when searching again for an item you have already typed into the find dialog, there's no reason to again hit ctrl-f.
