Right. It is at a particular site or two. It jumps up and bites when least suspected. That is why it's so hard for FS to replicate the problem. ----- Original Message ----- From: Steve Gomes To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, January 23, 2006 8:38 PM Subject: Re: text typed in internet explorer I am wondering if this is a web design problem. On most web sites when I hit left arrow or back space I hear where I am. It is only on a few that I have this blank problem. But as jerry says he has tested it with jaws 5.1 and above and finds a problem with jaws. skype name stevegomes web site www.rellek.com/stevegomes phone 720-747-4990 ----- Original Message ----- From: G.W. With each upgrade or update, techies at Freedom Scientific have promised the next version would cure the problem, so I wait again for the next version. A couple of things might help. Maximize the window. Try selecting the blank space. Sometimes this sets things right. The foolproof work-around is to keep Jaws 5.1 on a hot key and switch back to it. I know for a fact what I have typed is there as when I turn off the forms mode it reads to me what I typed in there. Its so annoying as if I make a mistake I can't go to that letter or word as Jaws doesn't read till I turn forms mode off. Is this a Jaws 7 bug? or can I fix this myself? cheers, Jim from Oz
