telnet client needed

I am looking for a telnet client that is usable with JAWS. I am a MUD
builder, so I need to use the telnet interface to log into and build
the game areas, mobs, objects, and triggers to keep the MUD growing.
I have been using LINUX very successfully for a long time, but I may
soon be on an extended trip where I will only have access to systems
with Windows and JAWS installed. At this point, msie appears to run
an external program in some sort of a DOS shell--dumping the text onto
the screen, but not giving me the level of screen access I need. I
have attempted accessing the MUD from a Windows 98 system with JAWS
7.0, and a system running some flavor of Windows XP and JAWS
6.something, both with unusable results.
