tables imnms word

Hello,
I have a word document with a table in it. I cannot read the table
unless a sighted person clicks the mouse into the table. When I go back
out of the table, I cannot get back into it until the sighted user
clicks in the table again. why is this happening? I have jaws 10 and ms
word 2003.
