My preferred method for getting out of forms mode is pressing the PC cursor
key. Unlike the escape key, it ensures  no other operation will be performed
accidentally.

Hello, Dave,
     If you also get stuck in forms mode you can also hit the escape key and
then Jaws will say virtual PC cursor.  You also can turn auto forms mode on
and off.
