In my favorites menu the "links" "media" and "mobile favorites" all have sub menus to them. Jaws 6.1 is not saying "sub menu". It does say it on all other menus I've checked like start menu and program menus like word and outlook. Wait a minute, while writing this I tested it in the menus of outlook. It did not read the sub menus under the file menu but did read them under the other menus like View and Insert. Guess I better get some sleep now before my other statement about not losing sleep over it becomes reality. grins. As I remember it from when I could see better, it was just a straight up and down list of links to Web pages you put in to it. I didn't think of it, nor see it, as any more a "menu" than I do the Jaws links list. So what is meant by this reference to a submenu in the Favorites list? I will admit that there's one thing that mystifies me, and that's that some additions I make to the list seem to get added to a list in its own location beneath the last alphabetical entry in the main list. Sometimes, even when I pull up the context menu and try to have one of these links inserted in the main list according to its alphabetical place among those entries, it won't move, and I may or may not be able to fined it by pressing the first letter of its name, later. So I'm not claiming to quite understand the Favorites list, but still asking what is this bit about submenus? Thanks. mysterifies ----- Original Message ----- From: "J Dumes" <jdumes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 15, 2005 11:02 PM Subject: sub menu not spoken in favorites menu I know somebody mentioned this but couldn't fine the original message to reply to. Jaws 6.1 on my windows 2000 system won't read "sub menu" from the favorites menu in internet explorer. It does seem to read it everywhere else though. If thats the worst I can find I don't think I'll be losing any sleep over it.
