spybot takes out spyware that ad aware doesn't
and ad aware takes out spyware that spybot doesn't
after installing, always check for updates then run, one then the other

Hi all,
A family member, namely my brother, was on line at some web site. I'm
guessing that it had something to do with on line dating, or singles or
something like that.
I don't know, I wasn't here at the time. Well, now I have this damn spyware
that I can't get rid of. I had google as my home page, but now, it says,
about.
And even when I change it back to google, the about keeps coming back when I
go to internet explorer.
I have run spybot, but that doesn't seem to do any good. is add aware any
better?
I'm also wondering if it's a toolbar. I had this happen before, and it was
the same person who did it.
Needless to say, I am not happy. I just reformatted this drive not two
weeks ago! And, if need be, I'll do it again! Jack
