Hi Judith. I'm just learning to use Sonic My DVD. I found out I can use it to backup files and folders on my external hard drive. I haven't used it yet to make a DVD or CD so I don't think I can help. However, I have noticed that some dialogs and messages that come up can make Sonic seem to stop responding. You need to read the bottom portion of the screen with the Jaws cursor to get the message. Then you might need to go back to the PC cursor and tab around for the cancel button.I'll mess with the burner part of the program and see if I can work it out.
