Hello Shannon. I'll give you step-by-step instructions on how to install the
scripts for skype.
1. To start, please download
this zip file.
Save it somewhere you'll easily find it.
2. go to the start menu, then programs, jaws version, explore jaws, explore
my settings.
3. Once the folder opens, go to the address bar.
4. press home to get to the beginning of the text in the address bar.
5. Press shift plus end to select the text in the address bar.
6. Press control plus c to copy the text in the address bar to the clipboard.
7. Close the window.
8. Assuming you don't have WinZip, or any other compression utility
installed, you should go ahead and press enter on the zip file. It should open
up just as if you were opening a regular folder.
9. Tab to the address bar, and press control plus v to paste from the
clipboard the text you copied previously from the address bar. This should
replace the current text.
10. shift plus tab back to the folder list, and select all contents with
control plus A.
11. Copy the contents to the clipboard.
12. hit tab to get back to the address bar, and press enter. This should take
you where you need to paste the scripts.
13. shift tab back to the list view, and paste the scripts from the
clipboard. Once that's done, Close the window.
14. open skype, and make sure you're focused on the skype window.
15. Press jaws key plus 0.
16. press control plus o to get to the open dialog.
17. press shift tab to get to the list view. Then, press s, until you hear
skype.jss. Now, press enter.
18. press control plus s, to compile the scripts.
19. press control o to open another script, then shift plus tab to get to the
list view. Then, press s, until you hear skype.jss. Now, press down arrow, then
enter.
20. Press control plus s, to compile the scripts.
21. press control o to open another script, then shift plus tab to get to the
list view. Then, press s, until you hear skype.jss. Now, press down arrow
twice, then enter.
22. Press control plus s, to compile the scripts.
23. press control o to open another script, then shift plus tab to get to the
list view. Then, press s, until you hear skype.jss. Now, press down arrow three
times, then enter.
24. Press control plus s, to compile the scripts.
25. Press alt plus f, then e.
26. Type default.jss, and press enter. You should hear default.jss if you
check the title of the script manager.
27. Press control plus home to make sure you're at the top of the file, and
press enter once or twice. Now, press control plus home to get back to the top.
28. Copy and paste the following line, exactly
use "SkypeWatch.jsb"
This isn't where it should be, but it will work just fine.
29. Press alt plus f, then h. Go ahead and press enter in the save as dialog
that pops up, Then press y to recompile the default file.
30. You are now done. Press alt plus f4 to close the script manager. The
Skype scripts, including the skype watch component, should be working.
