Hi Andy,
To put a shortcut on your desktop do the following:
Bring up the desired folder in windows explorer. Press the "application" key
located next to the right control key. Arrow down the list until you hear
"send to." Arrow right then down until you hear "desktop" then press enter.
You will then have a shortcut on the desktop called something like "shortcut
to whatever" which you can then rename to your desired name.
