Gary, For whatever reason jaws does not start reading the document after it is selected, I know that is the way it is supposed to be but it is not what happens. Thanks! ----- Original Message ----- From: Gary King To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, April 20, 2007 12:48 PM Subject: Re: setting to announce "select all"? Hi Judith, You don't need to be concerned with scripts. Control+a in MS Word and other Windows programs selects the entire document. Since the document is then highlighted, JAWS will begin to read it. Press Control to stop speech, and then perform whatever operation you wish to do on the document. The document will stay selected until you press any of the cursoring keys. Is there a keystroke that would announce when someone selects an entire document? Thanks, Judith
