selecting multiple files/folders

Hi:
in Windows Explorer, how do you select multiple files and or folders, that
are non-consecutive? in the JAWS basic training that I was reviewing this
was one of the things I didn't know, and instead of re-downloading the
tutorials I thought I'd ask here.
