Hi, I find the search function usually works great but at the moment I'm finding it works great for programmes but not so good for finding files. With programmes the results come up straight away but with finding files I have to arrow down after typing my earch to find the result.

I think this is jaws related because the search function is obviously meant to be predictive - e.g. it begins working as soon as you enter the first letter and narrows options down. That function hasn't worked well for me with jaws. Anyway, si don' find the search feature in win 7 as good or as costomizable as oinprevious versions like xp. Sometimes, when I use search, win explorer crashes. Does anyone know how to: 1. go back to the xp search from within win 7 if possibole or 2. to improve the existing search feature in win 7 -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com
