Hi, please do the following:

1. Goto My Computer.  Under your Desktop or just press Start key + M to go to 
the Desktop.

2.  Hit enter.

3.  Highlight the drive you wish to scan.

4.  Press Alt + Enter key to show the property of the drive selected.

55. Press Control + Tab to go to the Tools Tab.

6.  Look for the button that says Check now button.

7. Hit space bar or enter key.

8.  Find the button that says, Start button and answer by Yes.

9. Restart your computer.

After the boot process has been completed.  The scandisk will begins.
