What do you mean? You're running Jaws in the Task Bar, not in the system
tray? If you ran it in the system tray, you wouldn't have to keep running
into it as you were moving among the applications you're using.
As for it announcing itself wrong, have you checked the About Jaws item
under the Help menu to see If the copy of Jaws that's running really
version 8? Just a thought.

Most times when I alt tab into Jaws, from another program, Jaws says it is
version 7, though I am running version 8. Doing an insert 3 varifies 8 is
running.
Does anyone else have this problem.
