For a number of years, our mainframe program here at Medicaid had a
number of important controls on lines above the tet window, where the PC
cursor could never go. Those JAWS mouse keys really got a workout. The
JAWS cursor was, and often still is, the quickest way to summarize
needed information and get me where I need to be, when I have to make
corrections to eligibility or other related records.

One example of using the jaws cursor that I use constantly is reading
stuff in console ('dos') windows. If I miss something during the
initial read (which is all too common) I use the jaws cursor to go
back and find what the output was.
I also have a few programs with multiple windows that don't honor the
tab key convention for cycling through selectable controls. I use the
jaws cursor in that situation to make the switch.
