No, JAWS will not work in safe mode.

Never abandon an old friend. You will never find one who can take his
place. Friendship is like wine, it gets better as it grows older.

Subject: response from FS

Hi,
I wrote to FS tech support about the two bugts in Jaws 12, the one where
Jaws goes quiet on web pages, and the broken UPS tracking in Research It.

I am pasting the answer below.

My question for the list has to do with the advice given for the web page
issue.

Am I correct that Jaws won't talk in safe mode?

I don't have sighted assistance right to hand, so was wondering about this.

If anyone has tried this to resolve the issue, has it worked?

Thanks.
Crystal

Dear Crystal

Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific technical Support. With the
internet explore issue, try runningthe internet explore software in safe
mode with extensions. Use the steps below:

1. Activate the run dialog "windows key+r"

2. 2 Type in:

Iexplore -extoff

And hit enter

See if the issue still take place. In regards to the Research it feature,
our developers are working on a fix for this in a future update.

Be sure to include all previous correspondence pertaining to this matter
when replying to this message so that we might better
assist you.
