Thanks Yardbird but I'm still working on jaws 7.1. Judith----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Judith,it's no big deal. The keystroke simply changed in Jaws 8. Have you read anyof the introductory material about jaws 8, which you can download as a ZIP file from the FS site? Or maybe you could download the .mp3 programconsisting of 10 segments with Eric Damery introducing the new features, andthat sort of thing? I don't think he happens to mention the Reply Directly to Sender thing, but still you might find it helpful for an orientation.----- Original Message ----- From: "Judith Bron" <jbron@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 03, 2007 11:55 AM Subject: Re: responding dierectly... I just did it right and jaws says, "Respond directly to sender, shift plus jaws key plus R" Control, shift, r worked before, I don't understand. Judith----- Original Message ----- From: "G.W. Press INSERT+8 to open the Keyboard Manager. 3. If necessary, press TAB once to move focus into the list if individual scripts within the script source file. 4. In the list of scripts, locate the ReplyDirectlyToSender script. 5. Press CTRL+A to assign a keystroke to this script. 6. Press TAB once and uncheck the check box that asks if you want to assign the keystroke only to whatever keyboard configuration (desktop or laptop) you're using. 7. TAB to the OK button and press ENTER. 8. Press ENTER again to save and exit.----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 03, 2007 11:27 AM Subject: Re: responding dierectly... Darn! I had my Jaws 7 set so that Reply Directly to Sender used Control Shift R, which was a heck of a lot less of a trick to manage than this. Darn. I wish I could reconfigure this handy keystroke. Can I? Can anyone instruct me how to do it? I hate this acrobatic thing of trying to press Insert with my pinkie while hitting the shift key with my index. I know, some of you are absolute masters of stuff like this, or whatever, but I hate these digital acrobatics. I mean "digit" in the sense of "fingers," here, not bits and bytes and ones and zeroes. Although a case could surely be made for a double-entendre, just so it doesn't involve carpet-burned kneesor jokes about Freud saying that sometimes a cigar is only a cigar... nendre,entrde"ginerSendr----- Original Message ----- From: "Judith Bron" <jbron@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 03, 2007 10:19 AM Subject: Re: responding dierectly... Insert-shift-r----- Original Message ----- From: Judith BronI have been trying every key combination I know to respond directly to sender but I'm afraid I forgot the right one. The other option might be that this option was deleted from my configuration manager. Can someone refresh my non-existent mind?
