  Hi Sugar;

These steps are for the XP operating system. Below are some steps on how to
find out what operating system you're running & a lot more about your operating
system
  1. You will need to find your " pause " key. It is in a set of 3 buttons to
the right of your " F
" keys. Press Insert / Jaws key +1 on the number row to turn on Jaws help to
help you find this key. Other keys that will be with it are Print Screen &
Scroll Lock. They will be left to right Print Screen, Scroll Lock, & Pause.
  2. Now that you know where the pause button is, hold down the windows key +
the pause button. Using this particular keystroke will open your system
properties.
  3. Now, with your system properties screen up, route your jaws cursor to your
PC cursor. You do this by holding down your Insert / Jaws key & pressing your
Jaws cursor button. The Jaws cursor button is the minus key on the number pad.
This button is the top, right button on the number pad.
  4. Press the page up key/ 9 key on the number pad to take the cursor to the
top of the page.
  5. Now just arrow down 1 line at a time. After you arrow down 2 or 3 times
you hear Jaws say " System ." This is where you will learn various things
about your operating system by arrowing down.

  Hope this helps. Take care.
  Mike

    Hi everyone
could someone please do me a favor, and explain to me what it means to
explain my operating system?
I would like to be more knowledgeable before I ask one more question, and I
don't want to be "shut down"again
I just want to know what it means.
When I am asked this question, i am thinking whether I am useing jaws, xp,
type of computer,etc...
    or something else.
if there is more, than I would like to know.
    with much appreciation
