I have not yet used it but it was another alternative to RDP if RDP did not
work for me;
Also Below is some help for whoever want to run Jaws with RDP
Client side:
First install jaws on the client machine and make sure it has remote access
enabled;
You can go to INSERT+J AND THEN ABOUT AND "IT WILL SAY REMOTE ENABLED";
Second go to the insert+j and then basic and then advance;
then check the
Check Try Remote Access Speech on startup
and also
Check Try Remote Access Braille on startup (if you want braille support)
Check Use Authorization from PAC Mate (if you have it)
Check Enable Remote Access Client(you must check it or otherwise no speach)
Check Enable Remote Access Server (Check it if you want your version of jaws on
server to look for the authorization)
When checked, JAWS can search for product updates.
Server side:
Then connect to the server using MSTSC in the start menue+run and type MSTSC
after giving the server IP address and the user name and password
insert the jaws cd and then type in the run dialogue box
d:\JawsVersion.exe /remote
then it will run the usual jaws setup staff and then install typical and then
next;
However, if you need to avoid the setup questions you can do /
SilentServer
and it will install without any promt;
Then do not follow jaws because it will ask you to reboot the server;(in my
case it did and I just ignored it)
then jaws will run normally and if it asks you to activate just unload it and
reload it
Because it will be activated by the client authorazation;

Hi Ahmed, unfortunately you need to install jaws on the servers as well as
your workstation. There is no work around. I work in a similar environment
where I need to access servers in this way. Having to reboot them can be an
issue. Also we have been moving to ESX virtual servers and jaws won't run on
them. Jaws keeps crashing the virtual servers. It is becoming a real problem.
Depending of what kind of work you need to do on the server. For
troubleshooting I will often map to the servers drives and retrieve log files.
Also if you map to the server C drive you can then access the windows event
logs through the event viewer on your work station.
So there are some things you can do without remoting into the server but it
is limited.

Hi their!
I am using Version Jaws 9.0.2169 pro with XP pro;
I am trying to connect to several servers to maintain them via Microsoft
Remote desktop (RDP)
It says in the jaws documentation that I need to install jaws on the server
machine;
and I have all ready have jaws on my client machine;
Therefore my question is that I do not want to install jaws on every server
that I am maintaining and it is not visible to reboot the server after I
install jaws!
so what can I do and is their any other way of actually getting RDP working
with jaws without installing jaws on the server?
