You only need to reboot if you want to use JAWS *with speech during the
install* on the local server. Not necessarily if you're installing it
locally.

Have you read the Jaws help topic concerning Remote Access?  I'm shure that
I read that there is a configuration that you can install without having to
re-boot the server. I think you only need to re-boot if you want to be able
to use Jaws locally on the server.

according to the freedom scientific web page that talks about the thumb
drive version of jaws, it can not be used for remote access.
