It refreshes the screen. Probably cleans up and realigns the underlying object
model that JAWS uses, but then I'm not an expert on that stuff.

    Laura,

Ins+Esc is a JAWS command that refreshes the object model for viewing the
page. It is not the same as the F5 key for IE.

No f 5 actually refreshes the page. I tried using the escape key but the
webpage I find odesn't refresh if you use that command.

hi guys, just cureious has anyone been refreshing pages lately with
Jaws key plus escape in internet explorer 8? just cureious cos i've notice that
on the NVDA website when you enter it you have to hit this command otherwise
jaws doesn't work. its not a problem but I just wondered what's the difference
between that command and command F5 are they the same thing?
        Many Thanks
        Daniel
