yes, Judith. You use one of the many programs that perform this function--
Sonic Record Now (which may be on your new computer and has really simple,
mostly Jaws-accessible controls), Windows Media Player, and several
commercial programs which others will be happy to describe and recommend.
You put the prerecorded CD in the drive, launch the program, find the Copy
button, replace the CD with the blank one you have ready to use, press
another control, and the copying happens.

I have oversimplified this generically, because every program works
ddifferently, and you may want to change some settings, but that's how it's
done. Roxio, I believe, is among these programs. But you have to learn how
to use it, and how to use it with Jaws, if the version you have is workable
with Jaws.

Marissa, I want to take a pre-recorded CD and make a copy of it. There has
to be a way to do this, I just don't know what it is. Thanks for your help,
Judith

  i Judith,
Hmm, maybe put into the D drive and press record? What exactly do you want
to do with the music? I mean do you want to record a CD that is ucrrently
not on your computer? Let me know. I hope I've helped!

Marissa, I do hav Roxio. However, none of the music is presently stored
on the computer, this is a cd that has never seen my computer. What should
I do? Thanks, Judith

      Hi Judith,

If you want to burn a music CD using EZ CD creater and jaws, do the
following. Oh, I should of asked you if it was Roxio, I have Roxio 5.

      1. Open roxio.
      2. Press Alt and right arrow until you hear new project.
      3. Arrow down until you get to music CD.
      4. Hit enter and tab to the appropriate directory where you have
stored your files.
      6. To add a desired file, press control T.

When you are done, you should have a list with all the files you have
added. Then it's just a matter of hitting Alt and arrowing down until you
hear record CD. Hit enter and the buring process should start.

If you want to record actual music like guitar parts on to a CD, you
would be much better off with Sony Sound Forge 7 or 8. I have Sound FOrge 7
and I'm a singer/songwriter. I record with Sound Forge and then use Sound
Forge to burn the tracks on an audio CD. Also, you might want to check out
the Fostex MR-8. I hope I've helped.

I have EZ CD creator and obviously a cd player on my computer. How
do I record a music cd on the machine using the EZ CD creator? Thanks,
Judith
