In default configuration manager I set
In text processing, check the check box, read dollars
Tab to numeric date processing and down arrow once so it is set to some,
Save the changes,
And see if that fixes your problem,

Hi,
With JAWS 5.00884, the ability to read a number like
19.5% *in Word X P* worked automatically.
Thus far, this does not appear to be the case with JAWS 5.10.
Any one else encounter this?
Now in an email, the number containing decimals or percents will read
perfectly as in this message.
It is in Word where $1.25 or 19.5% requires multiple keystrokes to
read it the entire number.
Is there a fix for the "broken" "read word" that worked in 4.5 or
5.00884?
