Hi all.
No. You can only customize punctuation in the default application.

Jerry,

I also was curious, but not sure that punctuation can be changed in the
verbosity settings?

What about insert 6 with the application open and then search for verbosity?

In jaws 12, is it possible to modify the punctuation verbosity by
application or by voice scheme? The settings pull down appears to only allow
customization of punctuation in default.

This is probably one of those silly things so close that its waiting to
bite me on the nose, but as yet elusive. Thanks.
