I agree that you should make sure that the window is maximized.  Here's
another quirk that I have found from time to time and maybe it will help you
out.  In a new session on outlook the first email I write sometimes gets
messed up somehow.  However on the next message things are fine.  Try
bringing down a new message, type anything on it, exit out of it and don't
save any changes and then try writing your message again, this time for
real.  Over time I have just learned to flow with the quirks of this
computer and adapt to them.  Best, Judith
