problem with jaws not speaking

Hello list,
I have a friend that's having a problem with their jaws not speaking when they
start up their computer. She can't get jaws to speak at all. turning off jaws
and then back on doesn't seem to help. She's even tried the memory dump feature
on it, but it didn't seem to help. Any suggestions as to what she should do?
