Your best bet is to contact FreedomScientific support. There seems to be some kind of a dll problem. Have you updated your Windows installation lately? Also, have you uninstalled something lately?

You did not answer my question about the windows event log. I will give you the steps to check them.

1. Go to the windows control panel.

2. Go to administrative tools.

3. Go to event viewer.

4. You will find yourself in a tree view with the following options;
application
security
system
These are the 3 logs that windows keeps.

5. Choose application by moving the focus to it via the arrow keys.

6. Tab once and you would land at an information event or an error event depending on what event is the most recent.

7. Press enter to open the log for that event.

8. Tab to the description edit box.

9. See if it relates to jfw.

10. You can move among the log entries by the next and previous buttons. Check if any of the recent ones related to jaws for windows.
