hi Alicia,

load ms-word as usual. when ms-word has loaded, press JawsKey+6 (on the number row), press alt+s for "set options", hit enter on the
first option that is "user options...".

press tab twice, you will hear jaws announce "typing echo: Characters, radio button check", use arrow up/down to change the
selection. press tab to "ok button" and hit spacebar, finally press "alt+f4 to close the screen and answer yes when it ask want to
save the changes.

Subject: permanently truning off typing echo

Hello, Listers:

I use MS Word 2003 to create documents frequently and I always press insert 2 to switch the typing echo to none. I know that this is
a temporary way of changing this setting but is there a way to change this permanently when I open the application. I would like to
be able to open the application and then create my document without worrying about changing the typing echo.

Thanks for your assistance.
