Hello Debbie,
In my considerable experience with Jaws and Outlook Express, setting email
to be in plain text for reading in Outlook Express has no bearing whatsoever
on the functionality it of active links within the emails. I know this is
claimed frequently on these lists, but I'm afraid it isn't accurate.

It should work with Jaws 7. You don't have read all messages in plain text
format checked do you? Go to tools menu, options, the read tab and see if
you have that checked.
