If you have JAWS 12 you should try the virtual ribbon menu feature. This simulates the old menu system found in previous versions of Office and provides easy keyboard navigation of the ribbon overall. If you do not I sincerely apologize but I just learnt the ribbon myself. I think Freedom offer a DAISY book on using Office 2007 with JAWS on their training pages.
