Re: opening two files in MS Word

Well, I'm sorry, Alicia.  this is beyond me, and I'm an old Word user, for 
years before I ever heard of Jaws.  Never since Windows made possible 
opening two Word documents (or any other two text files) at once, or more, 
have I ever hit any sort of snag like what you're describing.  There must be 
some other factor at work here that I'm not sophisticated enough to infer.

I do know how to use alt tab. that is how I normally switch between open
files. That is not the problem. The problem is that when I open say the
worksheet document it will open fine; however, when I open the textbook
document the worksheet document I previously opened closes and Word will not
allow me to open both documents. You can not even alt tab between them
because only one of the documents will open at a time.
