Alicia,
No trouble here with opening two documents at the same time in MS Word.
Use control F6 to switch between them. I don't know what the limit is but I know I have had several documents open at the same time.

Subject: opening two files in MS Word

Hello, Everyone:

was under the impression that Word would allow you to have more than one file open at a time; however, it will not allow me to have my worksheets open and my textbook open. They are both Word files. Does anyone know if Word will allow two files to be opened?
